Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DATACDL, an independent educational CDL study and career-readiness platform operated by DATA Industries (DATA Industries Hub). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use DATACDL.

DATACDL is an independent educational platform. DATACDL and DATA Industries Hub are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the U.S. Department of Transportation, any state Department of Motor Vehicles, or any other federal, state, or local government agency. DATACDL does not issue commercial driver’s licenses, learner’s permits, government certifications, or official examination results. Requirements, fees, forms, manuals, testing procedures, and regulations can change. Users should verify all information directly with the appropriate official government agency before taking action.

Completion certificates issued by DATACDL are educational platform records only. They are not government licenses, DMV credentials, school accreditation, or employer-issued credentials.

DATACDL does not guarantee exam passage, licensing, employment, income, certification, or job placement. Official government information sources are listed at Government Information Sources & Disclaimer. Official state CDL manual links are listed at State CDL Manuals.

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
• One person may not share login credentials or resell account access.

DATACDL offers free access, Premium subscriptions, and (where available) a limited Founding Member one-time purchase. Prices, features, and availability are shown at checkout.

• Founding Member is a permanent membership tier that provides pricing benefits on eligible Stripe Premium subscriptions. It is not the same as an active Premium subscription and does not automatically grant Premium.
• Premium unlocks paid features only while an active subscription (or approved admin grant) is in effect.
• Android digital Premium purchases and subscriptions use Google Play Billing and are managed in Google Play → Subscriptions.
• Web payments (including Founding Member and eligible Premium plans) are processed by Stripe and may be managed through the Stripe Customer Portal from your Account.
• Recurring subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the applicable billing platform (Stripe Customer Portal for web; Google Play for Android).
• Billing disputes and refunds are subject to our Refund Policy.

You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, or redistribute question banks or proprietary content without permission.
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, entitlements, or security controls.
• Use the platform for unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent activity.
• Interfere with service operation or other users' access.

DATACDL is intended for users preparing for commercial driver study who meet the minimum age requirements that apply in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Age and eligibility details are also described in our Privacy Policy (Children section).

All platform content, branding, software, and question banks are owned by DATA Industries or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your license to use DATACDL is personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable.

Career Center listings, state manual links, external websites, and reference materials may point to third-party or government sites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or policies. Always verify requirements with the appropriate official agency before taking action.

DATACDL is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Study outcomes depend on your effort and external licensing requirements set by government agencies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DATA Industries, DATA Industries Hub, and their affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of DATACDL.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. You may request account deletion as described on our Delete Account page.

Features may change during public beta. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practicable. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
